Original watercolour painting.

My painting captures La Lupi, a famous Spanish flamenco dancer, choreographer, and teacher born in Málaga. She is widely regarded as one of the leading contemporary specialists of the mantón de Manila. She has said things like “Mis brazos acaban donde acaba el mantón” — “My arms end where the mantón ends”). The intense facial expression, the powerful arm work, and the way the long embroidered fringes fly in this painting are very characteristic of her style.
